Our Theology:  “And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching…” (Acts 2:42)

As an historic Christian church, we trace our heritage from the Patriarchs of Israel, through the Apostles of Jesus Christ, through the ancient Church Fathers to the Protestant Reformation of the 16th Century, as we believe all that is taught in the Old and New Testaments, which are the inspired and infallible Word of God.

As a “confessional” church we confess the teaching of the Word of God as summarized for us in the great ecumenical Creeds of the ancient Church:  The Apostles’, Nicene, and Athanasian Creeds, which explain the doctrines of the Trinity and Christ, and in the “Three Forms of Unity” of the Reformation: The Heidelberg Catechism, The Belgic Confession of Faith, and the Canons of Dort, which explain that Scripture alone is our only guide for faith and life, that we are saved from sin and eternal wrath by God’s grace alone, because of the perfect righteousness of Christ alone, which is received through faith alone, and all is for the glory of God alone.
